GCB and The Lord of the Rings Symphony No. 1

The epic J.R.R. Tolkien story of The Lord of the Rings is told through the work of Johan de Meij in this performance by the Geelong Concert Band. A staple of the wind band repertoire, this will be the first time this group has performed the entire five movements.

The two part program will feature the band in chamber ensembles for the first half, sharing the diversity of sounds and styles in a series of short works. After a supper this will be followed by The Lord of the Rings symphony.
