VCE Saxophone Day

The Clarinet and Saxophone Society of Victoria are presenting a special session for students in Years 10, 11 and 12 who are studying or intending to study VCE Music Performance.

Saturday July 20, 1:30pm
Fintona Girls’ School, 79 Balwyn Rd (enter via Millah Rd)

I will be presenting along with the members of my saxophone quartet: Michael Lichnovsky, Tarko Sibbel and Sara Beale.

The afternoon will include

  • A 30 minute quartet recital with works works by Francaix, Goodwin and Davidson to showcase the range of tone colours and dynamics on the instrument
  • A masterclass for student performers
  • A presentation of works from the VCE Prescribed List with a discussion of approaches for practice and performance
  • General Q&A with an opportunity to ask any burning questions about playing the saxophone
